The history of the legendary Benelli brand began back in 1911, when the Benelli brothers began to provide services for the repair of bicycles and motorcycles.
After some time, having received an engineering education in Switzerland, the brothers already independently worked on the creation of components and an engine, and later on the motorcycle itself, which they assembled with their own hands in 1921.
The company received recognition after 2 years, when its motorcycles first took part in sports competitions.
The final success came between 1927 and 1937. During these 10 years Benelli motorcycles have won Grand Prix and won prizes many times.
Then there was a decline in production caused by the WW2 and as a result of numerous takeovers of the company by larger investors.
The financial injections had a positive effect on the development of the company, which today, while maintaining its production facilities in the Italian city of Pesaro, is part of the Motor Group Qianjiang concern.
