The founders of the Harley Davidson motorcycle company were 3 friends. They were attracted by the idea of creating a bicycle for cycling that does not require pedaling.

In 1902, the first model created by the Davidson brothers was released. It was collected by hand. The volume of the engine was 165 cc.

A year later, an engine with 406 cc was released. It was mounted on a frame and the first motorcycle was born.

For 4 years, 50 motorcycles were created in black and gray colors with low engine power. But since there was a desire to get high speeds, they developed a strong motor.

This is how the M-shaped 2-cylinder 4-stroke engine appeared, which became the main engine in the company. The conventional motorized bike has become the Legend motorcycle that many people like.

Nowadays, many series are produced, differing in characteristics and appearance.

SPORTSTER

This model is the most affordable, as well as convenient in size, since it is very small. It has been produced since 1957, and since then the vehicle has been a participant in various races. The classic motorcycle has a simple design, a V-shaped motor. Engine displacement may vary: from 883 cc to 1200 cc.

The features of the model include the presence of: a round speedometer, rear shock absorbers, a churn.

DYNA

This model is almost the same size as the previous one, but Dyna has a powerful motor. The engine is fixed to the frame with silent blocks, which vibrate during the trip. And some riders like this kind of transport feature.

A special feature is the speedometer located on the gas tank. There is a battery box under the saddle.

SOFTAIL

This is a large and heavy motorcycle model. It looks like a classic vehicle. Looking at it, there is a feeling that the wheel is fixed on the frame, but the shock absorbers are present, they are invisible.

The characteristics of Harley Davidson are very different from those of other brands of motorcycles.

V-ROD

This series of fast and powerful vehicles. Engineers from Porsche participated in its development. There are 2 types of motorcycles in this series:

- Night Rod. It is a classic vehicle that travels at top speed. It houses a 60-degree engine. The gas tank in this model is located under the seat. This is a stable motorcycle

- V-Rod Muscle. A special feature is the presence of exhaust pipes on both sides.

Motorcycles in this series are identified by the front radiator. These vehicles are more powerful and have an efficient cooling system.

STREET

The series was designed to enable Harley Davidson motorcycles to be marketed in developing countries. Therefore, the model has a simple structure and low cost.

TOURING

These are motorcycles used for long distance travel. They are large and comfortable. But the cost of such vehicles is also high.

They are equipped with V-shaped motors with a volume of 103 cc. There are several types in the series, differing with a double headlight. There is also a difference in cooling.
